Wynn Al Marjan Set to Transform Tourism

Wynn Al Marjan: Accelerating Recruitment in Ras Al Khaimah Before Iconic Resort Launch
The economic growth of the United Arab Emirates continues at a brisk pace, particularly in the tourism and hospitality sectors. One of the latest examples of this is the upcoming Wynn Al Marjan Resort in Ras Al Khaimah, which not only expands the tourism offerings but also brings significant job creation to the emirate. The project is being implemented by the renowned American-based Wynn Resorts in collaboration with RAK Hospitality Holding, and is expected to mark a new milestone in the region's hospitality industry with its opening in early 2027.
Accelerating Recruitment by the End of 2025
The company recently announced that by the third quarter of 2025, it had already hired 98 new employees, bringing the current workforce to 195. Their goal is to reach a team of 300 by year-end. Most of the current staff are engaged in senior management, managerial, and administrative roles, which clearly indicates that the project has entered the strategic management phase.
According to the company's statement, leaders are already appointed at the helm of every key department — including both gaming and non-gaming sectors. The actual recruitment of operational personnel is expected to escalate in 2026 as the opening approaches and operational levels need to be filled.
At Least 7,500 New Jobs
Upon the project's full completion, the Wynn Al Marjan Resort is expected to create at least 7,500 jobs across various functions throughout the resort complex. This figure is significant not just from Ras Al Khaimah's perspective but for the entire UAE, as it further strengthens the country's economic diversification and offers new opportunities for local and foreign workers alike.
Some recruitment is already actively underway, as the company has advertised over 70 positions on its website. Openings include restaurant directors, executive chefs for various specialties, operations controllers, IT support analysts, accommodation and staff dining supervisors, room cleaners, recreational coordinators, payroll managers, casino accounting auditors, as well as various vice-presidential and managerial positions in casino marketing and event organization.
Marketing Strategy: Targeted Approach, Then Mass Campaign
The project's communications strategy reflects Wynn Resorts' international experience. The company primarily engages in targeted, individual-level marketing activities with players and guests identified as potential customers. This kind of personalized approach is already underway in the UAE, especially since the entire senior management staff is in the country actively building relationships.
Company executives highlighted that broader marketing campaigns for the general public will only be launched closer to the opening date. The reason being that mass communication at such an early stage would not be effective as the conversion time frame would be too long. Therefore, the intensity of the marketing is expected to peak in the second half of 2026.
Construction: One Floor Per Week Pace
The resort's construction is also progressing at an impressive pace. The $3.9 billion investment is currently up to the 70th floor of the hotel, and the building's highest point is expected to be reached in December. Concrete work is ongoing on several levels, but the timeline is on track, with no indications of any expected delays.
The speed of construction is well illustrated by the fact that builders are erecting one floor a week, which in itself is an extremely dynamic pace, considering the size and complexity of the building.
Key Project in Ras Al Khaimah's Future
The Wynn Al Marjan Resort is not only poised to become a new flagship in the UAE's hospitality industry but is also playing a key role in Ras Al Khaimah's future strategy. In recent years, the emirate has actively worked toward moving beyond traditional tourism and industrial models and taking a larger role in premium leisure and entertainment services.
The resort's implementation embodies this ambition. Alongside gaming rooms, the complex will feature a luxury hotel, restaurants, wellness areas, and spaces suitable for hosting special events. This makes it an attractive destination not only for international tourists but also for local residents and visitors from the region.
Closing Thoughts
The Wynn Al Marjan project is already having a significant impact on the job market, which is expected to grow even further in the coming years. That the company anticipates having 300 employees by the end of 2025 clearly demonstrates that this is not just a new hotel, but a complex, integrated tourism investment that can reshape Ras Al Khaimah's economic and social structure in the long term. The opening is set for early 2027, but the preparations already set an example of professional planning and execution.
