Wynn Al Marjan: UAE's New Luxury Haven

Wynn Al Marjan Island: Luxury Resort and Thousands of New Jobs in UAE
One of the UAE's largest-scale tourism and entertainment investments, the Wynn Al Marjan Island in Ras Al Khaimah is spectacularly advancing towards its 2027 opening. The integrated hotel and entertainment complex, a joint venture between Wynn Resorts and RAK Hospitality Holding, has already reached the 61st floor of the 70-story tower construction, progressing at a pace of one floor per week.
Premium Gastronomy and Entertainment
The project is not just about hotel rooms and suites but also offers nearly two dozen restaurants, lounges, and bars, including an exclusive nightclub and beach club. Guests will have access to a luxury shopping promenade, Wynn’s own brand spa and salon section, as well as a 39,000 square foot pool complex near the shore. The 145,000 square foot convention and event center will also include outdoor terraces and landscaped event venues. Additionally, a new theater with a permanent show will be built specifically for Marjan Island audiences.
Investment Background
The project's total budget reaches 3.9 billion US dollars, for which the company secured a 2.4 billion-dollar loan agreement in February 2025. Wynn Resorts invested a total of 121.1 million dollars in the first half of the year, including cash contributions to the joint venture. The company estimates its additional capital requirements related to its 40% stake could still be between 600–675 million dollars, including interest and development fees.
Job Creation
Wynn Al Marjan Island is expected to create at least 7,500 jobs by the start of its operations, including hotel, hospitality, security, technical, and administrative positions. Current job postings include engineering, IT, security, and marketing roles, as well as multiple managerial roles in food and beverage, events management, VIP services, and finance. Mass hiring is set to start in September 2026, about six months before the planned opening in March 2027.
Significance in UAE Tourism
The project elevates Ras Al Khaimah's tourism offerings to a higher level, potentially becoming a new iconic attraction in the region. With premium services, international hospitality partners, and complex entertainment offerings, Wynn Al Marjan Island could become a key destination for luxury tourism across the Middle East.
