Premium parking spaces are primarily located in busy central areas, so this price increase is likely to most affect those parking in these areas. The goal of the fee increase is to manage parking space traffic more effectively and reduce traffic congestion.
2. Salik Toll Charges: Dynamic Pricing from 2025
From January 2025, a dynamic pricing system will be implemented at Salik toll gates. The base fare will be 6 dirhams, but during peak traffic periods, this amount can increase to encourage drivers to travel during less congested times.
This new system will particularly affect those who regularly commute to Dubai for work or business. The dynamic pricing aims to reduce congestion and manage traffic more efficiently.
3. New Sewage Fees: Pricing Effective from 2025
Sewage fees will also change in Dubai, with the first increase taking effect in 2025. According to the new pricing, it will be 1.5 fils per gallon. This change applies to both residential and business customers and includes sewage collection fees overseen by the Dubai Municipality.
The step aims to support the development of sustainable infrastructure and improve sewage treatment efficiency. The new fees will be automatically applied to existing customer bills.
