The United Arab Emirates (UAE) military has reached another milestone with the arrival of the first batch of Rafale fighter jets under a historic defense agreement worth Dh63.5 billion with France. This acquisition marks a key step in boosting the country's military strength and technological advancements, as well as deepening the strategic partnership between the UAE and France.
Significance of the Historic Agreement and the Rafale Jets
The UAE Ministry of Defense (MOD) announced on Thursday that the fighter jets produced by French Dassault Aviation are now officially part of the country's air force. The contract for a total of 80 Rafale jets is one of the most significant defense agreements in the history of the UAE and France, representing a €16.6 billion investment in modernizing the country's air defense capabilities.

Al Mazrouei emphasized:
"The UAE military has undergone tremendous development thanks to the support of President Sheikh Mohamed, allowing us to become one of the world's most effective and well-prepared armed forces."
