UAE Launches Eid Al Adha 2025 Pre-orders

Eid Al Adha 2025: Qurbani Pre-orders Now Open on UAE Food Apps
The upcoming Eid Al Adha, expected to commence on Saturday, June 7, offers exciting opportunities for the Muslim community in the UAE. The sacrificial ceremony associated with the festivity, known as Udhiya or Qurbani, commemorates the obedience of Prophet Ibrahim, who was ready to sacrifice his son on Allah's command. The meat from the sacrificial animals is traditionally distributed among family, friends, and the needy.
Digital Qurbani Options
The highly popular online Udhiya pre-order options that debuted last year are returning this year. Through the Careem Groceries and Noon Minutes apps, residents can conveniently order sacrificial animals with just a few clicks, whether for personal consumption or charitable purposes. Prices vary widely, with Somali goats starting at 1,000 dirhams and an entire cow or camel priced at up to 7,000 dirhams.
Careem, for instance, partners with local supplier Dhabayeh Al Emarat, offering local goats (aged 12–24 months, 14–17 kg, around 1,723 dirhams) and Naimi sheep (aged 7–9 months, 16–20 kg, approximately 2,143 dirhams). Orders can be placed between May 15 and June 4 within Dubai and Abu Dhabi, with delivery occurring during the first four days of Eid, either to the home or to the UAE Food Bank for donations.
Noon Minutes collaborates with Zabehaty (Oasis Livestock) partner, offering Kashmiri sheep (1,300 dirhams), local Nuaimi sheep (1,800 dirhams), and even whole cows or camels weighing 120-150 kg. The app allows users to choose between two time slots on the first day of Eid and decide whether they want the meat in four parts or whole.
Charity Through the App
A noteworthy innovation is that users can directly donate the sacrificial meat to the UAE Food Bank via the app, which has already provided over 70 million meals for the needy in the country since its inception. This option ensures that the sacrificial meat reaches families truly in need of assistance.
Why Opt for Online Ordering?
Online Qurbani options in the UAE are not only convenient but also transparent and straightforward. These apps allow users to select the animal and method of slaughter, set the sacrificial day, and even make charitable offerings. Feedback indicates that residents particularly appreciate the simple ordering process and reliable delivery service.
When Is Eid Al Adha in 2025?
This year's Eid Al Adha is expected to begin on June 7, resulting in a five-day official holiday in the UAE from June 6 to June 10, including the weekend. These dates may still change depending on the lunar calendar, but planning has already begun, and the deadline for pre-orders via the apps is June 4.
