UAE Jewelers Craft World's Largest Gold Frame

The World's Largest Gold Frame: UAE Jewelers' Record-Breaking Tribute to Sheikh Zayed
The United Arab Emirates has once again demonstrated that it knows no bounds—at least when it comes to creativity, craftsmanship, and national pride. Two local jewelry businesses, Golden Arabia Jewellery and Yogesh Jewellery Factory, set a world record according to the official recognition of Guinness World Records, by creating the world's largest gold frame. This monumental artwork pays tribute to Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, the founding father of the country, who remains a symbol of national unity and progress.
A Masterpiece Made from Noble Materials
This astounding frame is made entirely of 21-carat gold, and is not just a simple picture frame: around the high-resolution portrait of Sheikh Zayed at its center, iconic landmarks from all seven emirates of the UAE are featured. The Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque, the Burj Khalifa, and the Quran Roundabout in Sharjah are all detailed, hand-crafted gold embellishments that create depth and texture through a masterful combination of matte and shiny surfaces.
The project took three months to complete, during which 30 experienced craftsmen worked ten hours a day, five days a week—investing more than 19,500 hours of labor into this extraordinary creation. Although some precision elements were achieved through 3D printing, the entire structure is predominantly handmade, lending special value to the finished piece.
A Heartfelt Tribute
The piece was not made for commercial purposes but to express national pride and love for Sheikh Zayed. "This frame is not for sale. It has no price because it is priceless," said the owner of Golden Arabia Jewellery. The inspiration came during a visit by the ruling family of Sharjah to a previous exhibition, where a necklace shaped like the Dubai Museum of the Future impressed the guests. This led to the brainstorming of an even grander, lasting monument.
The creation has become a shining symbol of the UAE's heritage, unity, and vision, measured not just in gold but in the deep love and respect that the locals have for Sheikh Zayed. According to the artists and jewelers, the emotional weight of the project is far greater than that of the physical frame, which itself is not easy to lift.
A Record That Goes Beyond Glitter
The gold frame was showcased at the Sharjah Expo Centre during the 55th edition of the Middle East Watch and Jewellery Show, where it immediately became the focal point of visitor attention. The recognition by Guinness World Records made it official: UAE jewelers are not only masters of craftsmanship but creators of national symbols who continue to combine tradition and innovation hand in hand.
