UAE Evacuates Citizens Amid Iran Conflict

The United Arab Emirates has announced that it has safely repatriated its citizens and residents who were in Iran amid the escalating Israeli-Iranian conflict. The evacuation was carried out with coordinated efforts from the relevant authorities of both countries, ensuring the prompt and safe return of those involved.
Deteriorating Situation in the Region
The tension erupted on June 13 when Israel launched a comprehensive airstrike against Iran, resulting in the death of several members of the Iranian military leadership. In response to the attack, Iran launched multiple waves of missile strikes, the latest of which reached Beersheba on June 20, where they struck near residential buildings, offices, and industrial facilities.
Diplomatic Efforts to Alleviate the Conflict
In response to the situation, the UAE has repeatedly emphasized using all possible diplomatic channels to restore peace and stability in the region. According to the government, dialogue and diplomacy are the only keys to a lasting solution that provides justice and security for all people in the region.
In a phone call, the President of the Emirates expressed solidarity with the people of Iran in light of the military attacks and emphasized that the escalation of the conflict could have severe consequences for the peace and security of the entire Middle East.
Strategic Evacuation – Safety Above All
The UAE has previously demonstrated that it gives top priority to the safety of its citizens and residents in all situations. This recent evacuation operation reflects that approach. According to official information, the returnees are offered medical check-ups and psychological support to help them process their traumatic experiences.
The Situation Remains Tense
By the eighth day of the conflict, Israel reported having destroyed additional military targets on Iranian territory, including missile production facilities, research institutes linked to nuclear development, and military facilities in the western and central regions. This suggests that the crisis is not nearing a resolution.
However, the UAE's stance is clear: the future of the region can only be secured through diplomatic means, and all parties involved should keep this in mind. The successful conclusion of the evacuation operation aligns with this aim, as it prioritizes the protection of people and humanitarian considerations first.
