UAE Celebrates Eid with Blessings and Unity

Eid Al Adha 2025: Holiday Greetings from UAE Leaders
As the sun rose in the United Arab Emirates, thousands of believers gathered across the country to pray together for one of the most sacred Islamic holidays, Eid Al Adha. In addition to the special spiritual significance of the holiday, this year the messages conveyed by the leaders were particularly highlighted, wishing peace, kindness, and blessings to the entire nation—and beyond, to the entire Arab and Islamic world.
Prayers Began the Day in Abu Dhabi
One of the defining moments of the morning was when the head of state arrived in Abu Dhabi at the famous Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque to join a massive gathering of believers for the festive prayer. The prayers offered under the mosque’s white domes and the community’s togetherness were a fitting start to the holy day.
Later, the president also expressed his holiday wishes via social media, specifically mentioning the rulers of the Emirates as well as all residents and inhabitants. In his message, he prayed that the holiday would bring peace, prosperity, and security to everyone—not only in the country but around the world.
Dubai's Leader Sent a Message Too
Dubai’s ruler, who is also the country's Prime Minister, addressed the populace via social media as well. He congratulated the entire Arab and Islamic world on the occasion of the holiday, specifically greeting those who were able to complete their pilgrimage to Mecca this year. His words carried deep religious significance and respect for traditions: “May Allah accept your Hajj and make this great day blessed for you.”
Ras Al Khaimah Joined the Festive Message
Ras Al Khaimah's leadership also joined in the holiday greetings. They warmly greeted the head of state, Dubai’s ruler, and the leaders of all the emirates. Additionally, they wished a happy and blessed Eid Al Adha to all residents and families.
Message to the Entire Arab and Islamic World
Dubai’s crown prince commemorated the holiday in a special post where he sent good wishes not only to the UAE’s residents and leaders but also thanked Saudi Arabia for excellently organizing the Hajj pilgrimage. He attached a video to his message showing spectacular murals at iconic locations throughout Dubai. Among the footage was a touching scene where Dubai’s ruler gently kisses his newborn grandchild on the forehead—emphasizing the role of family and values during the holiday.
Summary
The celebration of Eid Al Adha 2025 was not only about religious traditions and family gatherings but also about how the country’s leaders addressed the people directly—both in the digital space and in person. Their messages shared common themes of peace, unity, gratitude, and hope for a more blessed and secure future for everyone. From Dubai to Abu Dhabi, from the coast to the mountains, the holiday connected people—and perhaps that is the greatest gift of Eid.
