Seamless Parking Expands Across Dubai

Ticketless Paid Parking Expands to 18 New Locations – Here's the Next Step in Parkonic's Expansion
Dubai's transportation infrastructure is continually evolving, particularly in the areas of digitalization and smart city solutions. The latest announcement reveals that seamless, ticketless paid parking offered by Parkonic will soon be launched at 18 new locations across the emirate. This innovation is both convenient and efficient, being fully automated and eliminating the need for paper parking tickets.
What is Parkonic?
Parkonic is a Dubai-based smart parking service provider that already operates ticketless, barrier-free parking at several locations in the UAE. Current locations in Dubai include the street parking at Dubai Harbour, the Museum of the Future, the premium parking zone at Global Village, the downtown Sofitel hotel, Crescent, and Central Park.
Thanks to a recently formed partnership with Salik, a toll service provider, the company is now launching its advanced parking system at 18 more locations.
List of new locations
Ticketless Parkonic parking will be available at the following areas starting next week:
Union Coop Nad Al Hamar, Heera Beach Park Islands, Union Coop Al Twar, Union Coop Silicon Oasis, Union Coop Al Qouz, Union Coop Al Barsha, Cedre Villas Community Centre, Burj Vista, Al Qasba, Union Coop Mankhool, Lulu Al Qusais, Marina Walk, West Palm Beach, The Beach JBR, Opus Tower, Azure Residence, Union Coop Umm Suqeim
These include several popular residential and commercial areas, as well as seaside locations like The Beach JBR and Marina Walk, making parking easier in the city's busiest spots.
How does the Parkonic app work?
The system is simple to use:
1. Registration: Users need to create a Parkonic account in the app.
2. License plate registration: Enter your vehicle's license plate number.
3. Load account balance: Once the wallet is loaded, the system automatically deducts the parking fee upon exit.
4. Automatic payment: When leaving the parking spot, the fee is deducted from the balance available in the app.
5. Alternative: If there isn't enough balance, users can also pay in cash via an on-site Parkonic machine.
This automated system not only speeds up the process but also avoids traditional parking penalties because there is no need to purchase a parking ticket or adhere to a return deadline.
Parkonic presence in other emirates
While most of Parkonic's services are available in Dubai, the company also has a presence in other cities:
Abu Dhabi: WTC Abu Dhabi, Shams Boutik, Arc Tower
Sharjah: Majestic Towers
Khorfakkan: Al Suhub Rest House
This indicates that Parkonic's long-term goal is UAE-wide coverage, contributing to the smart city development initiatives.
Summary
Dubai is taking another step towards developing smart city services with Parkonic's expansion. The new, ticketless, fully digital parking system is particularly beneficial for daily commuters and tourists alike. Simple registration, automatic payments, and transparent operations not only save time but also elevate the urban parking experience to a new level. The future of parking is already here in Dubai – and it seems it's just getting started.
