Pay for Fuel Using Salik Balance

Revolutionizing Fuel Payments: Salik Balance Accepted
Digital Payment Revolution in Dubai
Dubai is introducing a pioneering solution in fuel payments, as soon it will be possible to pay with the balance stored in a Salik e-wallet at certain fuel stations. This innovation is part of a comprehensive digital transformation that makes payment processes not only more convenient but also faster for drivers.
As a result of a collaboration between the Enoc Group and Salik Company PJSC, an agreement was signed on May 8th, allowing the use of the Salik e-wallet for purchasing fuel and other services at petrol stations and retail points within the Enoc network.
This means that customers will no longer need to use cash or bank cards, as the transaction amount will automatically be deducted from the Salik e-wallet.
How does it work?
The payment solution is based on the Automatic Number Plate Recognition Technology (ANPR), which identifies vehicles using cameras. This technology is already in use at more than 25 parking places in Dubai and is planned to be available at 127 more locations soon.
The use of the Salik e-wallet is already available at popular locations such as the Dubai Mall, Dubai Marina Mall, Souq Al Bahar, Dubai Harbor, Miracle Garden, and Marina Walk. At these places, the parking fees are directly deducted from the Salik balance without the need for any payment method to be presented.
The partnership's goal and vision
According to Salik's CEO, Ibrahim Sultan Al Haddad, the partnership with the Enoc Group aims to promote digital transformation in the transportation and service sector. The variable toll fee system introduced in January also pointed in this direction, and now the simplification of fuel payment follows.
“Our aim is to enhance the comfort of customers and drivers, as well as to facilitate the simplification of transactions and operational efficiency. This partnership reinforces our commitment to smart and sustainable mobility solutions in Dubai.”
The CEO of Enoc Group, Saif Humaid Al Falasi, emphasized that the new payment option is not only convenient but also creates new market opportunities. “We are confident that this partnership will bring tangible results for both parties and contribute to improving the customer experience.”
Joint marketing and technological integration
Under the agreement, Salik and Enoc plan joint marketing campaigns and technological integrations, enabling the expansion of Salik-based services across the entire Enoc station network. This is another step on Dubai’s path to digital transformation aimed at spreading faster, smoother, and paperless payment opportunities.
Summary
Dubai has moved one step closer to realizing fully digital, cashless payment systems. The collaboration between Salik and Enoc enables drivers to pay for fuel conveniently, automatically, and quickly using their Salik e-wallet balance. Thanks to modern technology, ANPR systems recognize vehicles, and the purchase amount is immediately deducted from the balance, making the payment process practically seamless.
The partnership not only serves customer convenience but also is an important component of Dubai’s smart mobility strategy, focusing on expanding digital payment solutions and simplifying urban transportation.
