Dh400 fine and 4 black points if the noise source is a horn or sound system

Dh2,000 fine and 12 black points for modified or excessively loud vehicles

Vehicles undergo unauthorized modifications may be towed and officially impounded

The retrieval of an impounded vehicle requires a payment of a Dh10,000 fee

If the owner does not pay the fee within three months, the car may be auctioned

In the black point system, reaching a certain number of points can lead to the suspension of the driver's license.

While the penalties might seem harsh, authorities say the primary goal is not to collect fines but to raise awareness and educate.
