New Driver Center Opens in Hatta

New Driver Licensing and Training Center Opens in Hatta – Collaboration of RTA and Emirates Driving
Dubai's Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) announced the opening of a new driver licensing and training center in the Hatta region, providing local communities with easier and faster access to obtaining and renewing driver’s licenses. The new facility, established in collaboration with the Emirates Driving Institute, is now the 27th RTA-approved driver licensing center in Dubai.
Opening Hours and Services
The new center is open six days a week, from Sunday to Friday, operating from 8:15 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. A one-hour break is observed daily between 2:30 p.m. and 3:30 p.m., while on Fridays, the center closes between 12:30 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. for prayer times. On Saturdays, the center holds only registration days, allowing interested individuals to handle their affairs from 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
The aim of the new center is to make obtaining driver’s licenses more accessible to residents of Hatta and the surrounding areas, as well as offering various theoretical and practical training. The center provides comprehensive services, including:
Opening of traffic files
Theoretical and practical driving instruction
Conducting of theoretical and practical exams
Issuance of motorbike and light vehicle driver's licenses for both manual and automatic vehicles
Support and Development of Local Communities
The opening of the center is part of the RTA's long-term strategy to simplify and speed up access to essential transportation services for local communities. Previously, residents of the Hatta region often had to undertake long journeys to reach Dubai's center or other Emirates to obtain or renew their licenses or complete necessary exams. Now, these services have become locally accessible, significantly reducing travel time and costs.
Ahmed Mahboob, a representative of the RTA, stated that the newly opened center in Hatta not only simplifies the driver licensing processes but also ensures higher-quality services for local residents. "The center operates at full capacity and provides all necessary services, including theoretical and practical trainings, exams, and the issuance of driver's licenses," he said.
Strategic Significance and Future Plans
The opening of the RTA's new center reflects the shared goal of the Dubai Government and the RTA, focusing on the development of transportation infrastructure and improvement of service quality. This new facility not only makes life easier for local communities but also contributes to increased transportation safety by producing well-trained drivers.
Alongside the issuance of driver's licenses and conducting examinations, the center places special emphasis on modern educational methods. Students can prepare for theoretical exams using digital tools and interactive educational programs, while practical training provides experience in real driving scenarios.
Summary
The opening of the RTA's new driver licensing and training center in Hatta marks a significant advancement in developing local transportation infrastructure. The new center allows local residents to conveniently and quickly obtain driver's licenses and related services, thereby reducing travel time and costs. The RTA continues to strengthen its commitment to improving Dubai's transportation and enhancing residents' quality of life.
