Emirates Expands London Heathrow Flights

Emirates Expands London Flights: New Weekly Flights to Heathrow in Winter Peak Season
One of Dubai's best-known airlines, Emirates, will further increase its presence at London's busiest airport, London Heathrow, starting October 26, 2025. The airline, which already operates six daily flights, will add six more weekly flights to its schedule, making travel between Dubai and London even more convenient during the year-end peak period.
The expansion is a response to the significantly increased demand, which has recently broken new records. The new flights will operate every day except Friday, with Boeing 777-300ER aircraft in service, offering a three-class setup (First, Business, and Economy) with over 350 seats available in each direction. At the same time, the airline's iconic Airbus A380 will continue its six daily routes between London Heathrow and Dubai.
Catering to Year-End Travel Peak
The optimization of the winter schedule is no accident: the last months of the year are considered a prime travel period worldwide, and neither London nor Dubai is an exception. The Christmas season, New Year's, and winter breaks increase passenger traffic, which the airline aims to serve with a flexible schedule and increased capacity.
Emirates' new flights provide opportunities for more flexible departure and arrival time slots. For example, Flight EK41 departs from Dubai to London Heathrow at 13:40 on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Saturdays, and Sundays, arriving at 17:40. On Thursdays, the departure is at 12:55, arriving at 16:55. On the return, Flight EK42 leaves London at 22:35 on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Sundays, arriving in Dubai at 9:35 the next day. On Tuesdays, Saturdays, and Thursdays, it departs at 21:20 and arrives at 8:20 the following day. These times are in local timezones.
Excellent Connections to the Rest of the World
The new night-time departures are particularly favorable for those wishing to continue their journey through Dubai to destinations like Durban, Phuket, Kuala Lumpur, Hong Kong, Beijing, Shenzhen, Guangzhou, or Jakarta. The schedules are designed for quick and seamless transfers with minimal waiting times.
Meanwhile, flights to Heathrow do not only serve passengers starting their journey from Dubai. The airline's strategy focuses on regional connections in addition to direct connections. Emirates uses Dubai as a global hub, offering convenient connections for passengers arriving from cities like Ahmedabad, Lahore, the Maldives, Hyderabad, Chennai, Beijing, and Shanghai. The network of flights to London is also accessible from several points in the Middle East, like Bahrain, Dammam, or Riyadh.
Heathrow, Gatwick, and Stansted: Expanding Presence in London
Emirates is increasing capacity not only at Heathrow. From February 2026, it will also launch a fourth daily flight to London Gatwick, serviced by the newest Airbus A350 aircraft. This development aligns with the airline's goal of offering maximum flexibility to travelers through London's three major airports – Heathrow, Gatwick, and Stansted.
In addition to flights to London, the airline also serves several regional cities in England: Manchester, Birmingham, Newcastle, Glasgow, and Edinburgh are part of the Emirates network. Overall, from February 2026, the number of weekly flights to the UK will reach 146, demonstrating the airline's commitment to the British market.
Dubai as a Connection Hub
Over the past decade, Dubai has become one of the world's most significant international aviation hubs. Emirates reinforces this position with each new flight intro, particularly to key destinations like London. The new routes to Heathrow support not just business and tourism traffic but also contribute to expanding Dubai's global network of connections.
Through the airline's flexibility and capacity increase, passengers can choose from a wider range of departure and arrival times, while enjoying Emirates' well-known onboard comfort and premium services.
Summary
Emirates' decision to introduce additional flights to London Heathrow clearly shows that the airline is not just responding to growing demand but is actively shaping the future of international aviation. The new flights strengthen connections between Dubai and London and offer benefits to the entire region's travelers – whether for holidays, business trips, or connecting to any part of the world. Through its global network, premium fleet, and services, Emirates remains a significant player in air traffic between the Middle East and Europe.
