Emirates Boosts UK Connectivity with New Flight

Emirates Launches New Daily Flight to London Gatwick – Enhanced Connectivity Between Dubai and UK
The Dubai-based Emirates airline has announced that from February 8, 2026, it will launch a fourth daily flight to London Gatwick Airport. This flight will be serviced by the latest Airbus A350 aircraft, which is the airline's most modern and quietest model. This move further expands the connectivity between Dubai and London, totaling 12 daily flights between three different airports.
Expanding Presence in the United Kingdom
Emirates currently operates flights to eight UK cities: Gatwick, Heathrow, Stansted, Manchester, Birmingham, Newcastle, Glasgow, and Edinburgh. The new Gatwick flight will be the second route serviced by the Airbus A350 in the UK, following the Edinburgh route.
This new flight strengthens the airline's presence in the UK, where it operates 140 weekly flights – offering significant capacity for both business and tourist travelers.
New Timing, Better Flexibility
The new flight, EK069, departs Dubai at 17:05 and arrives at London Gatwick Airport at 20:50. The return EK070 flight leaves Gatwick at 23:55 and arrives back in Dubai at 11:00.
The schedule is ideally designed to allow travelers to maximize their travel days whether arriving in or departing from Dubai. The morning arrival in Dubai allows for hotel check-in, the start of business meetings, or sightseeing immediately, while the late evening departure from London ensures travelers can make the most of another full day.
Comfort Across All Classes
The new Gatwick flight offers three travel classes:
Economy – comfortable seating, extensive choice in the onboard entertainment system
Premium Economy – extra legroom, wider seats, premium onboard service
Business Class – fully flat-bed seats, exclusive lounge access, and premium dining
This triple configuration makes travel even more flexible, as every passenger can find the comfort level and price range suitable for their needs.
Why is this expansion important?
Dubai and London are two major global hubs, both economically and touristically. The new flight:
increases daily capacity between the two cities, which can reduce prices and increase accessibility,
offers more favorable timings for business travelers,
provides a more flexible alternative between the three London area airports (Heathrow, Gatwick, Stansted).
Summary
The Emirates' new fourth daily flight to London Gatwick Airport not only signals the airline's ongoing expansion in the UK but also offers travelers significant advantages in terms of scheduling, comfort, and flexibility. The journey aboard the Airbus A350 will deliver a unique travel experience across all classes and further strengthens the connection between the two global metropolises, Dubai and London.
