Dubai's Winter Camping: Nature's Escape from October to April
Dubai Announces Winter Camping Season Starting October 21
Authorities in Dubai have announced that the winter camping season will officially begin on October 21 and continue until the end of April 2025. This special period offers an ideal opportunity for both locals and tourists to enjoy Dubai's unique desert landscape during the cooler months.
During the winter camping season, designated camping sites in the Al Aweer area will welcome visitors. Officials have highlighted that this provides a “safe and well-equipped” environment for families and individuals alike. The temporary camps aim to provide a comfortable and tranquil experience for nature enthusiasts wanting to explore the beauty of Dubai's desert surroundings.
Various temporary permits can be obtained for the camping season, ranging from at least three months to a maximum of six months. The permits are available on a weekly fee basis, costing 44 fils per square meter, with a maximum area of 400 square meters. This fee is quite reasonable, especially for those who wish to enjoy desert camping in the cooler season without committing long-term.
Why participate in the winter camping season?
1. Close to nature: Dubai's desert landscape offers a unique experience, and the cooler temperatures in the winter months make it ideal for outdoor activities.
2. Comfortable and safe environment: The designated camping areas are well-equipped and secure, making them suitable for families and individuals alike.
3. Flexible rental options: Three to six-month permits offer flexibility, while weekly fees assist those wishing to camp for shorter periods.
