Dubai's New Children's Passport Experience Unveiled

Dubai Children's Passport: New Adventures Await the Little Ones at DXB Airport
As the summer heat increasingly limits outdoor activities in Dubai, the city is creatively striving to make the stay memorable for visiting families—especially for children. The creative branch of the Dubai Media Office, Brand Dubai, has launched a new initiative that brings a smile to the faces of its youngest travelers from the moment they arrive: at Dubai International Airport (DXB), they receive colorful, souvenir-worthy 'children's passports.'
Children's Passport - A First Experience Already at Passport Control
At specially designated Children's Passport Control counters, children aged 4–12 are given special treatment. Here, they have a unique experience: shaking hands with airport officials, receiving a stamp in their real passport, and then receiving their own colorful 'children's passport.' This is not just a lovely gift but also an interactive city guide.
What Can the Children's Passport Do?
This little booklet helps children explore the diversity of Dubai by guiding them in an age-appropriate, playful way to the city's best kid-friendly spots. The publication includes a QR code that directs interested parties to the Dubai Destinations page, where thematic summer program guides and exploration routes await families.
The goal is for children to participate as active explorers rather than mere spectators during the trip, while playfully learning about the city, its culture, and local attractions.
More Than Half a Million Happy Children
The program is not new: dedicated children's passport control desks were introduced in 2023 at Terminals 1, 2, and 3 of DXB. Since then, over 550,000 children have passed through these special counters. The project is a collaboration between Brand Dubai and the Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs.
Unique Sightseeing for the Little Ones
The children's passport is particularly useful during times when the heat makes many outdoor attractions less accessible. The publication helps in selecting indoor options, from museums and aquariums to themed playhouses and indoor adventure parks.
Summary
The children's passport is yet another proof that Dubai is conceived as a family-friendly destination—from the moment of airport arrival. The interactive initiative not only makes the vacation more enjoyable but also more memorable for children, helping Dubai to live on as a vibrant and exciting city in the memories of its youngest visitors.
