Dubai Reaches New Culinary Heights in 2025

Dubai's Culinary Stars in 2025: Two Restaurants Reach Three-Star Prestige
Dubai's culinary world reached a historic milestone in 2025: for the first time, the city hosted two three Michelin-starred restaurants. The prestigious recognition was awarded to FZN, which blends modern European and Japanese influences, and Tresind Studio, known for its creative Indian fine dining dishes. The announcement was made during an elegant ceremony at the Address Skyview hotel, where the teams of these top-tier gastronomic venues received a standing ovation.
Three Stars – Dubai's New Pinnacles
The Michelin Guide's three-star recognition is one of the world's most prestigious culinary accolades, and in 2025, only about 140 restaurants globally hold this honor. Now, Dubai joins these privileged cities. FZN, already proud of its three stars in Stockholm and Singapore, earned its accolade through innovative cuisine and flavor compositions. Tresind Studio stands out particularly: it is currently the only Indian restaurant in the world with three Michelin stars.
Two-Star Masterpieces
Three restaurants retained their two-star status: Il Ristorante – Niko Romito, STAY by Yannick Alleno, and Row on 45, known for their unique fine dining concepts, all proved their excellence once more. These restaurants offer experiences worth diverting a trip for.
One-Star Restaurants: Gastronomy Worth a Stop
The Michelin Guide's one-star rating also indicates outstanding performance, and Dubai performs strongly at this level as well. The list includes previously recognized names such as 11 Woodfire, Al Muntaha, Hakkasan, Ossiano, and Avatara. Additionally, two new entrants made the list: Manao and Jamavar.
Manao, which received its first star just five months after opening, offers a unique, reimagined Thai flavor experience led by a young Dubai chef. Jamavar won over the inspectors with its authentic Indian dishes, particularly its goat curry.
Sustainability in the Spotlight
Boca, Lowe, and Teible maintained their Michelin Green Star, awarded in recognition of their sustainable practices. This award is gaining increasing importance as restaurants' responsibility for environmentally conscious operations becomes more apparent.
Special Awards and Bib Gourmand Recognitions
Several special awards were presented at the Michelin ceremony, including the best opening (Ronin), best service (Al Khayma Heritage Restaurant), and best sommelier (Boca). Additionally, five new restaurants joined the Bib Gourmand list, highlighting venues with excellent value for money: DUO Gastrobar, Harummanis, Hawkerboi, Khadak, and Sufret Maryam.
Michelin Guide Dubai 2025 by the Numbers:
2 three-star restaurants (1 new)
3 two-star restaurants (unchanged)
14 one-star restaurants (including 2 new)
3 Michelin Green Stars
22 Bib Gourmand restaurants (including 5 new)
78 Michelin-selected restaurants (including 15 new)
Conclusion
Dubai is now renowned not only for its spectacular skyscrapers and luxurious lifestyle but also for its culinary excellence. The 2025 Michelin Guide clearly confirms the city's place on the global culinary map. The recognitions are not only affirmations of the hard work of chefs and their teams but also serve as an inspiration for the next generation—be it a three-star experience or an excellent Bib Gourmand dinner, Dubai now offers both.
