Dubai Programs Boost Emirati Real Estate Careers

Dubai Incentive Program Boosts Emirati Real Estate Brokers
Dubai has announced a new incentive scheme for real estate brokerage firms employing Emirati nationals, as part of the "Dubai Real Estate Broker Programme" initiative. The Dubai Land Department (DLD) aims to promote the growth of the real estate market and encourage Emiratization in brokering professions.
What's the essence of the incentive system?
The new system rewards companies employing Emirati nationals with points. The more nationals a company employs, the higher it is rated in the DLD's official ranking system, providing a direct competitive advantage in the market. The incentives also aim to increase the proportion of Emiratis in brokering professions to at least 15% over the next three years.
They have already exceeded the annual goal
Since the implementation of the program, results have far exceeded expectations. The number of Emirati real estate brokers has already reached over 180 percent of the annual target. The DLD has issued a public call to any citizen wishing to participate in the program: registration can be easily initiated through the UAE Pass, and applicants are required to complete a training course after registration.
Training and eligibility
As part of the program, the authority has organized training focused on various specialties, in cooperation with recognized educational institutions. Upon passing the exams, participants receive an official real estate broker's certificate valid for three years, authorizing them to practice the profession within Dubai's legal and regulatory framework.
Tangible outcomes
Since the program started, the total transaction value from brokerage activities has exceeded 500 million dirhams. Additionally, 231 new real estate brokerage firms have been licensed.
Collaboration with market players
The DLD has organized more than ten consultation meetings with 71 strategic partners, including 26 real estate development companies, 38 brokerage firms, and four educational institutions. This extensive collaboration ensures that the program not only promotes Emiratization but also enhances market competitiveness overall.
Why is this program important?
This initiative not only creates jobs for Emirati citizens but also facilitates knowledge transfer and customer relationship development through the involvement of local professionals. To fully exploit the potential opportunities in the real estate market, local presence and knowledge are essential – something recognized by the Dubai Land Department's new program.
