New Year 2025: Free Parking in Dubai on January 1
The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) announced that all public parking spaces in Dubai will be available for free on January 1, 2025, during the New Year holidays. However, parking in multi-story parking garages will still require payment. Paid parking will resume on Thursday, January 2.

Dubai Metro and Tram: Running Continuously During Holidays
The RTA previously announced that the Dubai Metro and Tram services would be extended during the New Year holidays. The metro will operate continuously from 5:00 AM on December 31, 2024, until midnight on January 1, 2025, ensuring smooth travel across the city.
The Dubai Tram will also run on an extended schedule from 6:00 AM on December 31, 2024, to 1:00 AM on January 2, 2025. This is especially useful for those celebrating in various parts of the city or looking to avoid car traffic.
Public Bus Services: Temporary Changes on Two Major Routes
The transport authority has informed passengers that the E100 and E102 bus routes will be suspended during the New Year holidays:
E100 bus route: The route between Al Ghubaiba Bus Station and Abu Dhabi will not operate from December 31, 2024, to January 1, 2025. Passengers are advised to use the E101 bus route departing from Ibn Battuta Bus Station to Abu Dhabi.
E102 bus route: The route between Al Jafiliya Bus Station and Shabiya Musaffah will also be suspended in the same period. Passengers are encouraged to travel using services departing from Ibn Battuta Bus Station.
