Dubai Hosts Massive Electric Vehicle Showcase

Dubai Electric Vehicle Extravaganza: Over 70 EV Test Drives in One Day
On November 23, Dubai will again become the hub of sustainable transportation: the Dubai Autodrome will host the Yalla Green Mobility Show, one of the largest electric vehicle (EV) events in the region. More than 70 models from over 20 global brands will be available for visitors to experience clean, sustainable driving all in one day.
A Hub for Green Mobility Experience
The program is not just an exhibition but a real interactive experience. After registration, participants can take part in 15-minute test drives across various models. Over 500 test drives are planned, setting a world record for the largest sustainable test drive event. More than 3,000 visitors are expected to enrich their day with simulators, acceleration tests, exhibitions, and professional discussions.
The Rise of Electric Cars in the UAE
The UAE's electric vehicle market has expanded explosively in recent years: approximately 200,000 EVs are currently on the country's roads, compared to just 139,000 last year. Projections suggest this number could reach 500,000 by the end of 2029. The country's advanced infrastructure – charging networks and smart systems – already surpasses global standards, facilitating further growth. Moreover, EVs offer an economical solution: the average driver can save up to 1,500 dirhams annually on fuel and maintenance as these vehicles do not require gasoline or oil changes.
How to Participate?
Pre-registration is required to participate in the test drives, during which applicants receive an appointment time. Participation information and tickets will soon be available through online channels. The event is the first large-scale electromobility event in the UAE, intending to accelerate EV adoption with the support of governmental and private-sector partners.
More Than Just Cars
Visitors will not only familiarize themselves with automotive innovations but also discover clean technology startups, while family-friendly programs, food trucks, music, interactive zones, and panel discussions with industry leaders will enhance the day. Organizers aim for the event to go beyond car showcases: they seek to inspire real change in transportation and lifestyle, in line with the UAE Net Zero 2050 strategy and its sustainability-focused future vision.
