Dubai Boosts Housing Aid with 1 Billion Dirhams
Dubai Housing Boost: Sheikh Mohammed Approves Over 1 Billion Dirhams in Applications
Dubai's ever-evolving housing program has reached another milestone: Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE's Vice President, Prime Minister and the ruler of Dubai, announced the approval of housing applications worth over 1 billion dirhams this month. The assessment process has granted support to more than 1,300 local citizens under the Zayed Housing Program.
Continuous Growth and Swift Processing
Sheikh Mohammed highlighted that the number of beneficiaries will continue to grow in the coming months, with every application fully processed. Over the last two years, a total of 13,000 applications have been processed and approved, with the current waiting time being one of the shortest globally, at just two months.
“We want to ensure better service, quality of life, and a brighter future for our citizens,” Sheikh Mohammed wrote on social media. He added that the future goal is to integrate housing and funding bodies into a comprehensive system, allowing approvals to occur in just a single day.
Increased Grants in Residential Parks
The Sheikh Zayed Housing Program has recently increased grant amounts for those building within designated residential parks. The new grant amount has risen to 1.2 million dirhams, while those building outside designated areas can apply for up to 800,000 dirhams.
This initiative is part of Dubai’s efforts to provide modern housing opportunities to its citizens, encouraging community life and infrastructural development.
Previous Support and Future Plans
In June 2023, Sheikh Mohammed had already approved a housing support package worth 1.68 billion dirhams within the same program, enabling the construction of 2,160 new homes for local citizens. The initiative reflects the UAE's commitment to constantly improving the standard of living.
The transformation of housing loans is part of the UAE's “Zero Government Bureaucracy” program, which aims to reduce bureaucracy, simplify administrative processes, and eliminate unnecessary requirements.
How Does This Help Dubai's Residents?
Dubai’s housing program not only eases citizens’ lives through faster approvals but also provides adequate financial support for realizing homes. Families looking to build new homes can now expect greater financial aid, promoting the development of stable, modern communities.
Through these new measures, Dubai increasingly becomes one of the world's most advanced cities, where citizens can access fast and efficient housing support.
Summary
Dubai’s housing grants further strengthen the emirate's leadership in ensuring citizens' well-being. Thanks to Sheikh Mohammed’s ongoing commitment, smoother processing and higher grant amounts can be expected in the coming years. Integrated housing systems and quick approval processes will help Dubai residents more comfortably and quickly realize their homes.
