Dubai Beaches Go Family-Only for Eid

Family-Friendly Beaches in Dubai for Eid Al Adha
During the Eid Al Adha holiday, four public beaches in Dubai will be reserved exclusively for families to provide a safer, more tranquil, and comfortable environment for visitors. This measure aims to regulate visitor traffic during the four-day long weekend—which begins on Thursday, June 5, with the Day of Arafah—particularly during times when beaches are most crowded.
Which Beaches Are Affected by the Measure?
The beaches reserved exclusively for families are as follows:
Jumeirah 2
Jumeirah 3
Umm Suqeim 1
Umm Suqeim 2
These locations were designated by the Dubai Municipality (DM), considering experiences from previous years. The measure was positively received last year and is being reintroduced this year due to the increased number of visitors during the holiday period.
Enhanced Security Measures
Given the significant increase in beachgoers during this time, authorities are paying special attention to safety. The Dubai Municipality has deployed a rescue and security team comprising 126 members equipped with state-of-the-art equipment and logistical support to work on the beaches. The team's responsibility is to respond quickly to any emergencies and ensure continuous presence for the safety of beachgoers.
Additionally, 100 trained inspectors will carry out on-site monitoring, including crowd and traffic control, as well as beach safety and operational checks. The goal is to provide an uninterrupted, pleasant holiday experience where families can peacefully enjoy the seaside.
Collaboration and Long-Term Goals
In collaboration with its partners, the Dubai Municipality will monitor the operations of these beaches throughout the holiday. The aim is not just to ensure short-term safety but to create a sustainable, family-friendly beach experience on Dubai's public shores in the long run. This is part of an effort to offer world-class services and leisure opportunities for all communities.
Year by year, Dubai authorities are increasingly focusing on the well-being of residents and visitors. The holiday season is particularly important as families often spend time outdoors, hence creating the right environment has become a primary priority.
