Disneyland Magic Lands in Abu Dhabi

Disneyland Abu Dhabi: Magic Arrives in the Middle East
One of the world's most renowned and iconic theme parks, Disneyland, will soon open its doors in Abu Dhabi, bringing magic and dreams to the heart of the Middle East. This new facility will not only be the first Disney theme park in the region but the seventh Disneyland resort worldwide. The announcement was made on the 15th anniversary of Yas Island, which is already famous for its exciting entertainment options.
The New Jewel of Yas Island
Yas Island is already home to several world-famous attractions, including Ferrari World, Warner Bros. World, and SeaWorld Abu Dhabi. With the opening of Disneyland Abu Dhabi, this location will further solidify its position as one of the world's leading entertainment hubs. The new park will be built on the Yas Island Waterfront area, making it accessible from major tourist markets in the Middle East, Africa, India, Asia, and Europe due to its strategic location.
The Fusion of Magic and Technology
Disneyland Abu Dhabi will be unique as it combines well-known Disney stories and characters with local culture and tastes. Visitors will enjoy experiences elevated to a new level of entertainment through modern technology and architectural wonders. According to Josh D’Amaro, chairman of Disney Experiences, the park “pushes the boundaries of theme park design,” and will feature a modern castle unlike anything seen before.
Bob Iger, CEO of The Walt Disney Company, said this new park will not only be an entertainment center but a “cultural, entertainment, and technological marvel,” further strengthening Abu Dhabi’s international role. The development and operation are handled by Miral, while Disney is responsible for creative design and attraction development, ensuring a world-class experience for visitors.
A New Era Begins for Disney
The announcement of Disneyland Abu Dhabi is part of a long-term strategic plan in which Disney aims to invest significantly, $60 billion, in its Parks and Experiences division over the next decade. This project demonstrates the company's commitment to global expansion, particularly in key markets.
With the new park's opening, Abu Dhabi will further cement its position as a top destination for family and cultural tourism. The theme park will be accessible not only to local residents but to visitors from all over the world, creating new opportunities to experience magic and entertainment.
Magical Experiences on the Horizon
Disneyland Abu Dhabi will be more than just another theme park; it will be a venue where technology and classic Disney experiences meet, tailored to the cultural characteristics of the region. Modern architecture and cutting-edge technology will allow visitors to experience the Disney-created world from a completely new perspective.
The park will not only bring familiar storybook characters and attractions but also offer new experiences that bring Disney’s magic closer to visitors. Following its opening, Yas Island will indeed become one of the world’s largest and most prominent entertainment centers, opening a new chapter in Disney’s story in the Middle East.
