Clear Black Points with Accident-Free Day!

Accident-Free Day – How to Clear Four Black Points from Your License
The Ministry of Interior of the United Arab Emirates has declared August 25, 2025 - the first day of the new school year - as Accident-Free Day. The initiative aims to enhance traffic safety on the day when traffic significantly increases due to students returning to school after the summer holidays. The program is executed in coordination by all police departments across the country.
The Initiative's Goal
The campaign's goal is not only to reduce the number of accidents on the first day of school but also to improve traffic discipline in the long run. To enhance the protection of school children, the police warn drivers to adhere to speed limits, use seatbelts, maintain safe following distances, avoid using mobile phones while driving, and give priority to emergency vehicles and official convoys.
Rewards for Rule Followers
Drivers who pre-register their intention to participate on the official Ministry of Interior website and commit no traffic violations on the designated day will receive a reward. Four black points will be automatically removed from their driver's license. The points are credited electronically by September 15, 2025, so there's no need for personal administration at service centers.
Long-Term Effects
Authorities emphasize that the initiative goes beyond a single day; the aim is a lasting change in mindset where drivers consistently exhibit safe, rule-abiding behavior in everyday life. Experience shows that such actions contribute to a reduction in repeat offenses and accident prevention.
