Cafu Reinstates Delivery Fees in UAE

Cafu: Delivery Fees Reinstated in the UAE Starting April 24
One of the UAE's most renowned fuel delivery service providers, Cafu, has announced a significant change: as of April 24, 2025, starting at 6 a.m. on Thursday, delivery charges will be reinstated. This decision was confirmed by the company's customer service department, and a notification has also appeared in the app for users.
Why are the fees being reinstated?
Cafu explained the background of its decision in a candid and transparent statement: "For years, we have delivered fuel and car services quickly, smoothly, and free of charge to our customers — but let's face it, maintaining such a service citywide, 24/7, requires a substantial amount of background work."
During the pandemic in 2020, Cafu made deliveries free during the full lockdown to help the population, significantly increasing its popularity in the country. Now, years later, bringing back delivery charges has become necessary for the sustainability of the service.
New delivery fees
Fuel prices will continue to match those available at UAE petrol stations, but the following delivery charges will apply:
Dh20 – Priority delivery for delivery within 20 minutes
Dh16 – Standard delivery with a waiting time between 30 minutes and 1 hour
Dh12 – For night orders placed between midnight and 6 a.m.
The company emphasized: "This was not an easy decision to make, and we don’t want to hide behind it. We believe this is a fair step to keep the service strong, ensure the experience remains smooth, and that your time truly matters."
Cafu: More Than Just Fuel Delivery
Founded in 2018, Cafu has grown beyond fuel delivery. Over the years, they have introduced mobile car washes, oil changes, battery and tire services, as well as emergency fuel supply. Since 2022, they offer mobile charging for electric vehicles and have made the expedited 20-minute priority delivery available.
Loyal users – is the convenience fee worth it?
In recent years, Cafu has become an essential service for many, particularly those with busy schedules, families to take to school, or those who simply prefer to avoid queues at petrol stations. Many believe that if the fee isn’t too high, it's worth paying for the convenience. Furthermore, a five percent cashback is available for night orders, which can ease the cost.
Others are adopting a wait-and-see approach: they are assessing how beneficial it is to use Cafu in the long run or returning to traditional refueling methods.
Summary
Cafu's new pricing policy is an important step to ensure the sustainability of its high-quality 24/7 service. While it may mean additional costs for users, the convenience, speed, and reliability continue to make the service attractive to many. The future will show how loyal the user base remains — but one thing is certain: Cafu will continue to be a defining player in the UAE's smart city services.
