BurJuman Mall Unveils New Parking System

New Parking System at BurJuman Mall - Fees, Rules, Must-Knows
One of Dubai's most renowned and oldest shopping malls, BurJuman Mall, has recently introduced a ticketless, automatic paid parking system. This technological upgrade follows the previously implemented parking systems by the Mall of the Emirates, Deira City Centre, and Dubai Mall, which operate without tickets and barriers, yet effectively track parking time and fees.
How does the new parking system work?
The foundation of the new ticketless system is the Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) camera, which captures the vehicle's license plate number upon entering the car park. The system automatically calculates the parking fee, which can be settled through designated payment machines using cash, bank card, or online payment. It's important to note that cash payments are no longer possible at the exit, only card payment options are available.
The barriers remain, but they now automatically lift as soon as the license plate is recognized, making both entry and exit more seamless.
Parking Fees and Rules
The parking rules and fees at BurJuman Mall are as follows:
The first three hours are free, followed by a charge of 20 dirhams per hour for every commenced hour.
Parking is free on Sundays and official holidays.
Vox Cinemas' visitors receive an additional three hours of free parking, which must be validated at the cinema ticket counter.
Vehicles must exit the parking within 15 minutes after payment, otherwise, a new charge will be applied.
Re-entry to avail of free parking is only possible after six hours.
Electric Vehicle Parking
Designated charging stations for electric vehicles are available for a maximum use of one hour. It is crucial that the electric connectors in the car park are not used for charging vehicles.
Rules and Regulations
BurJuman Mall's parking lot includes several rules and regulations that must be strictly followed:
Parking fees must be settled at the payment machines; cash payments are not possible at the exit.
Parking is entirely at the owner's risk. BurJuman Mall is not liable for any damage or incident.
Overnight parking is strictly prohibited, with a potential fine of 350 dirhams per day for violations.
Improper parking or rule violations entail a 250-dirham fine, and the vehicle may be towed at the owner’s cost and responsibility.
A speed limit of 20 km/h is enforced within the parking area and must be adhered to.
Parking spaces cannot be reserved in advance, and choices are limited to available spots.
Family Parking and Special Needs Parking are reserved exclusively for eligible users.
Private buses are not allowed to use the parking, and operators reserve the right to deny entry for any violations.
Updates and Changes
BurJuman Mall reserves the right to modify parking rules and regulations at any time. It's advisable to consistently check the mall's official announcements for the latest information.
Summary
The new ticketless parking system at BurJuman Mall offers a more convenient and faster solution for visitors. With license plate recognition technology and automatically lifting barriers, the parking process has become more streamlined, and payments can be completed quickly and easily. Designated charging stations for electric vehicles are also available, allowing those choosing sustainable transportation to conveniently charge their vehicles.
