Flights Resume Between Iran and UAE

Flights Resume Between Iran and UAE
Following a hiatus of more than three weeks, air traffic between Iran and the United Arab Emirates has resumed after Iran announced on July 4 that it had reopened its airspace, including Tehran. This decision was made after Iran temporarily closed its airspace on June 13 as a result of conflict-related issues with Israel.
Flydubai flights fully operational
As the first sign of gradual restoration of air traffic, Dubai-based flydubai has resumed flights to three Iranian cities: Tehran, Mashhad, and Bandar Abbas. According to the airline's statement, flights will resume full operation starting Friday, July 4.
Passengers are advised to regularly check the status of their flights and update their contact information to be notified of any changes in a timely manner. Flydubai emphasized that it is continuously monitoring regional events and will adjust its schedules as needed based on demand or other circumstances.
Sharjah joins: Air Arabia to restart flights
Shortly after flydubai's announcement, Sharjah-based Air Arabia also declared that it would resume its previously suspended flights to Tehran, Shiraz, and Lar from July 6. Reservations are once again available through the airline's customer service and website. The airline assured passengers that safety and travel experience continue to be a top priority.
Emirates remains suspended
While flydubai and Air Arabia are already working on resuming air traffic, Dubai-based Emirates is maintaining its previous decision to suspend its Iranian flights until July 9. The company stated that until an official schedule change occurs, Emirates flights to and from Iran will not accept transfer passengers in Dubai.
Affected passengers are advised to contact their travel agencies to reschedule bookings. Emirates highlighted that the safety of its passengers, employees, and flights remains a primary concern.
Increased vigilance and flexibility
The region's air travel has reached another turning point, as reopening airspaces allows for the gradual restoration of connections and travel. Flexibility, continuous information checking, and adherence to safety regulations are especially important for both airlines and passengers now.
The stability of the region remains an uncertain factor, so travelers are advised to obtain information from reliable sources and, if possible, maintain direct contact with the airlines. The resumption of flights is good news for family visits, business travelers, and tourists, but caution is still warranted.
