Dubai Hosts Inaugural Aviation Future Week 2024

The Emirates and the Museum of the Future will host the first Aviation Future Week in Dubai from October 15-17, 2024.

Ministers from the United Arab Emirates, high-ranking government officials, and leaders from the aviation, space, air cargo, maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO), and logistics industries will gather in Dubai for this inaugural event. The event offers unparalleled insights and discussion opportunities related to the future travel needs in passenger transportation, air cargo, and logistics, as well as the latest developments in artificial intelligence (AI) and extended reality (XR).

His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman and CEO of Emirates Airline & Group, commented: “It is fitting that Dubai hosts these global leaders and decision-makers in the aviation and aerospace industries who will engage in key discussions and collaborations to redefine the industry's vision during Aviation Future Week. Dubai's commitment to technology and innovation, along with embracing the digital revolution, provides fertile ground for pioneering new approaches for more efficient and sustainable operations while reshaping the passenger transport experience as the industry advances.”

The three-day Aviation Future Week will feature keynote speeches, panel discussions, and workshops. The first day of the program will be packed with presentations and panels led by industry experts focusing on airline travel demands and airport infrastructure, where participants will learn how airports, airlines, aircraft manufacturers, and other stakeholders can provide an enhanced passenger experience through technology.

The second day's focus will be on developments in air cargo and logistics, with the latter part of the day highlighting MRO advancements in the region. The third, closing day will center on the boundary-pushing possibilities of Web3, AI, and XR solutions in enhancing workflow efficiency and service quality. Sessions will also explore the strategic approaches and collaboration needed for today’s aviation workforce to adopt and utilize these technologies.

In addition to the main program, Aviation Future Week will showcase a comprehensive exhibition platform featuring the latest aviation technologies, allowing visitors to discover new products and concepts and engage with industry representatives. The interactive workshops will be led by the Emirates and the Museum of the Future, with support from Emirates customer experience teams, dnata, Emirates SkyCargo, flight operations, Emirates and dnata environmental teams, Boeing, and the Emirates Group Youth Council.
