The British company Mace has won the contract to oversee the first phase of the expansion of the Dubai Exhibition Centre (DEC). The project, valued at around 10 billion dirhams, aims to double the current capacity of the exhibition center. This significant expansion not only reinforces Dubai's pivotal role on the global events and conferences stage but also further enhances the city's appeal to the international business and tourism sectors.

The first phase of the expansion will create tens of thousands of square meters of new space, suitable for hosting the world's largest events, fairs, and exhibitions. Mace, one of the UK's leading project management firms, will be responsible for ensuring the project's successful execution, guaranteeing that construction meets deadlines and the highest quality standards.

The newly constructed areas will serve various purposes, including large-scale business events, cultural events, and exhibitions. This expansion will elevate the Dubai Exhibition Centre to become one of the largest and most modern event venues globally, further boosting Dubai's reputation as a key player in the global business hub.

The DEC expansion aligns with Dubai's long-term objectives to remain an attractive center for international companies, investors, and visitors. Such large-scale projects like the DEC expansion not only contribute to the local economy's growth but also strengthen the city's global competitiveness.

This expansion is expected to create new jobs, increase local businesses' revenues, and make Dubai even more attractive in the global conference tourism market.
